New Zealand Manuka Honey has long held a reputation as a potently healthy honey denoted by its Unique Manuka Factor rating (UMF®).

UMF stands for ‘Unique Manuka Factor’, a measure of the unique properties found in honey made from the nectar of the native New Zealand Manuka bush (Leptospermum scoparium). New Zealand Honey Co UMF 5+ Manuka Honey is guaranteed to be at least UMF 5.

Manuka Honey comes from the flowers of our native Manuka tree. This is a scrubby tree found right across New Zealand.

Manuka honey is a fantastic spreadable honey and delicious to use in cooking; it adds rich complexity to savoury sauces and marinades. For preferred honey consistency, warm to soften or refrigerate to firm.
